RMTS 2007 - Day 3 - Bargarh

This is day 3 of campaign for RMTS 2007, to be conducted for the 5th consecutive year.

No of centers: 1 or more per center
Participation: 125 per block(40 thou)
Scholarships: 201

Date of Test: 11th November, 2007

Last date of Application: 10/10/2007 (October10, 2007)

Camp Plans:
6 camps for each batch. 1st batch (RMTS 2003) camps completed.

Math Olympiad Successes thus far:

Himalaya Senapati of RMTS 2003 and Bhadrak district has been selected in to the short list(30) for Indian Math Olympiad team. Out of them 6 will be selected and sent abroad.

All the help that some of you have extended, are bearing fruit.

Bargarh (Western Zone):

Participation increased from 3 blocks, 185 students to 4 blocks & 271 students.


For this district we need lots of help, but some is already forth coming:

Volunteer:
1. Tapan Mahapatra of Child Rights has volunteered for Tihidi and Dhamnagar blocks.
2. Patitpaban Khandgiri of Worlp and his team of Worlp volunteered for this.

RMTS 2006:

Blocks Covered: Attabira, Bheden & Sohella
Centres : 4
No. of Students : 271

Blocks to be covered: 9 (Ambabhon, Bargarh, Bhatli, Bijepur, Gaisilet, Jharabandh, Padampur, Paikamal and Barpali ).

We have to find why Barpali had dropped out last year.

I have provided the e-address of Bargarh Block Development Officers and you can write to them and liaison with them if you are or have a friend or relative, in that area.

I would appreciate if you write back to me and extend help by taking responsibility of one of 314 blocks, even if they are covered, or any way you like to contribute, so that we can run a quality RMTS 2007 truly unearthing rural talents, who otherwise will wither away.
