RMTS 2008 - Day 15 – KALAHANDI Facts:

(RMTS stands for Rural Mathematics Talent Search. An initiative for Orissa’s secondary school students.)

It is already a 6 year old operation.

This is day 15 of campaign for AWARENESS FOR RMTS 2008, to be conducted for the 6th consecutive year.
Date of Test: 2nd November, 2008

Achievements up to RMTS 2007:

Camp Plans:
6 camps for each batch. 1st batch (RMTS 2003) camps completed. The 1^st batch has reached 10^th grade and will be out of secondary schools, in 2008.

Math Olympiad Successes thus far:

Himalaya Niranjan Senapati of RMTS 2003 and Bhadrak district was selected for the Indian Astronomy Olympiad team. He went to Simeiz, Crimea, Ukraine in Europe and earned a silver medal. We are exited and we hope this tradition will continue

We are in pretty good shape but can increase the quality of exam if local help is forth coming.

We have to find contacts in all blocks for full coverage of the District in 2008. Any help WELCOME.
